German

Department: World Languages and Cultures

The German designated program of emphasis enables students to build functional proficiency in German and to expand their knowledge and understanding of the cultures and literatures of the German speaking world. The program will prepare students for graduate work in the German field as well as for a variety of employment opportunities when pursued in conjunction with interdisciplinary study in such field as, to name a few; business, education, pre-law, international relations, international studies, peace and conflict studies, history, anthropology, and politics. A German POE can be combined with a POE in a great number of study areas at Juniata.
