Established 1916

On the morning of Reading Day in the Spring Semester, students, faculty, staff, and administration gather for brunch and to honor student and organizational leadership in our campus community.

History

In 1916, May Day celebrated women by female students wearing flowing white dresses dancing around the May Pole. In the 1970s, May Day revolutionized to include a formal breakfast event which recognized women. By 2002, May Day evolved again, to include men and recognize all our student leaders and thank them for their services and contributions to Juniata College. In 2006, awards were added to recognize Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), as well as, individuals.
