Why do we have an Employee Assistance Program?
Because employees are an organization's most important resources. We elect to establish an EAP because we care about you and about your job performance. We also realize that everyone occasionally experiences personal, family or emotional difficulties or encounters loss or illness.

In most instances we are able to resolve these problems independently. However, sometimes these difficulties may be so intense, or may last so long, that our personal happiness, our family relations, our health, and our job performance are affected, and we may need outside help.

The goal of the program is to assist our valued employees and their families in coping with problems that could result in serious deterioration of health, family life and job performance.

The program is also aimed at training and assisting our mangers and supervisors in identifying and referring employees with problem situations for professional assistance before their problems become unmanageable.

How to use the program:
Self-referral - Most requests for assistance will be initiated by an employee or family member directly by calling the EAP ASSISTANCE LINE number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Directed referral - Your supervisor may refer you to an EAP if your job performance or conduct on the job seems to be affected by personal or job-related problems. In the event of a directed referral, information about your treatment will be relayed back to your supervisor only with a release of information from you.

Confidentiality
Your EAP is a confidential program. EAP services are provided in a professional and confidential manner at locations away from the workplace. The program is designed so that you and your family members can seek help on your own without your employer knowing about your participation in the program will be released to anyone without your written consent unless otherwise specified by state and federal law.

How much does it cost?
The EAP provides you and your eligible family members with assessments and short-term counseling at no cost to you. If the problem cannot be resolved with short-term counseling, and inpatient or outpatient treatment is needed, your healthcare plan may pay all or part of the cost involved. Your EAP will help find the most cost-effective, affordable services for you.
