HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College Wind Symphony will perform its ?Friends and Family? concert of classical selections, film score excerpts and George Gershwin classics at 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16 in Rosenberger Auditorium in Oller Hall on the Juniata College campus.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The Wind Symphony will perform a variety of works during the first half of the concert, including ?A Pittsburgh Overture,? written originally for the River City Brass Band, and ?Colonial Song,? by Percy Grainger. The ensemble also will play excerpts from the score for the movie ?Fellowship of the Ring,? part of the ?Lord of the Rings? film trilogy. A performance of Gershwin?s ?Rhapsody in Blue,? features Juniata student Seung Ho Chung, a senior from Dillsburg, Pa., as piano soloist.

The second half of the program features ?October,? by Eric Whitacre and ?Second Suite in F? by Gustav Holst.

The Wind Symphony is conducted by James Latten, assistant professor of music, and is comprised of Juniata students. The Juniata students performing with the Wind Symphony are:
