Juniata College will host several musical performances during the months of April and May. All performances are free and open to the public.

On April 16, the Choral Union will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. in Roseberger Auditorium, Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts. Russ Shelley, the College’s Elma Stine Heckler Professorship of Music, will serve as conductor during this event.

On April 18, the Jazz Ensemble will perform in Alumni Hall, Brumbaugh Academic Center, at 7:30 p.m. Jordan Canner, a lecturer in music at the College who also serves as director of bands at Huntingdon Area High School, will direct the performance.

On April 24, the Percussion Ensemble will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. in Rosenberger Auditorium, Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts. James Latten, professor of music at Juniata, will serve as conductor during the event.

On April 25, the College’s music department will host an Honors Recital featuring selected student soloists and chamber ensembles. The performance will take place at 4 p.m. at Stone Church of the Brethren.

On April 30, Concert Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. at Rosenberger Auditorium, Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts, under the direction of Latten.

On May 3, Wind Symphony will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Rosenberger Auditorium, Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts, with Latten conducting.

Lastly, on May 5, Juniata’s Orchestra will perform at 3 p.m. in Rosenberger Auditorium, Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts. Rebekah O’Brien, lecturer in music, will serve as conductor.
