Presenters reveal different elements of their intersectional identities and shares how their identities and experiences are instrumental in their ability to embrace equity, diversity, and inclusion in their work at Juniata.

The “Who’s Your Neighbor” event creates an opportunity to dialogue and gain a first or deeper connection with panelists.

“Juniata College challenges each of its students to ‘Think about who you are’ and the Who’s Your Neighbor series provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to model the process of reflection about who we are and what we bring to the campus community,” says Cynthia Merriwether-DeVries, an associate professor of sociology at Juniata who serves a central role in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.

“Who’s Your Neighbor? Story Telling” is part of the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion's Series for Inclusive Excellence, which hosts events that present an opportunity to advance Juniata’s institutional goal of creating a campus community of inclusiveness from the classroom to the residence hall room to the conference room.
