Huntingdon, Pa. -- Juniata College junior Craig Biller (Penn Cambria/Loretto) has been named to the Commonwealth Conference all-conference second team for his play as a member of the Eagle men's basketball squad. Biller is the first all-conference choice for Juniata since Tim Lonesky was named to the all-conference second team following the 1998-99 season.

After scoring 113 points in his first two seasons combined, Biller broke through in his junior campaign as he led the Eagles in scoring with 369 points, good for 14.8 points per game. His scoring averaged ranked him ninth in the Commonwealth Conference while he was 12th in the conference in three-point shooting. Biller shot 46 percent from the field, and 40 percent from three-point range on the season, as well as a team-best 87 percent from the free-throw line. His free throw percentage ranked him 22nd in the NCAA through Juniata's final game. Along with his point production Biller ranked second on the team in assists and was third on the unit with his 35 steals.

Biller led the Eagles in scoring on nine occasions during the season and scored in double figures in 18 of Juniata's 25 games. He topped the 20-point plateau on six occasions including scoring a new career-high of 26 points twice. He knocked down a three-pointer in 20 of Juniata's 25 games at had at least three made treys in 10 outings this season. Prior to this season Biller's career-high for points in a game was nine and he had never hit more than two threes in a contest.

With Biller leading the charge Juniata enjoyed its most successful season in more than a decade. Juniata finished the season with a record of 13-12, which marked the first time since the 1988-89 season that the Eagles finished the year better than .500. The squad's 13 wins are the most the program had enjoyed since that 1988-89 team finished the year 16-10. One season after earning only two conference wins, Juniata finished one-game out of the conference postseason tournament with a 7-7 record in Commonwealth Conference play.
