DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -- 17th-ranked Juniata College poured in five goals in the second half and cruised to a 6-0 victory over Delaware Valley College, Saturday afternoon in Doylestown, Pa.

Senior Kara Buda (Franklin, N.J./Wallkill Valley) notched two goals in the win, including what proved to be the game winner with 12:49 remaining in the first half off a feed from Kim Amrod (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield).

Coming out of the intermission with a 1-0 advantage, Caroline Phillips (Wilmington, Del./Concord) doubled the Juniat lead just 53 seconds into the second half with an unassisted goal.

Shauna Deschenes (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) added a third goal in the Eagles' favor barely six minutes later off an assist from Brittany Kauffman (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove). Amrod, Buda, and Morgan Slovin (Hockessin, Del./Charter School) tacked on additional goals in the final 20 minutes to complete the rout.

All three Juniata (4-2) goalies saw action in the win, with starter Janelle Howard (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) playing the entire first half and getting the win. Shelby Miller (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and Julianne Jones (Middleburg, Pa./Midd-West) split the goaltending chores in the second half, with Miller recording Juniata's only save of the game.

Del Val goalie Hollis Hancock logged 18 saves over 70 minutes in the Aggies' cage, and the Aggies failed to earn a single penalty corner. Juniata was awarded 15 penalty corners, most by the Eagles in a single game since logging 18 in a 9-1 win over Frostburg State on Sept. 28, 2010.

Juniata has two days to recover from two matches over the last two days, before it returns to action against Wesley College on Tuesday, Sept. 20. That game will take place at Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown, Pa., with a 7:30 p.m. start time.
