ANNVILLE, Pa. -- Sophomore Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) earned a team-best fifth place finish Saturday when the Juniata cross country teams competed in the 39th Annual Lebanon Valley College Cross Country Invitational Saturday.

The women's team finished eighth in the race with an average time of 21:28. Woods posted a time of 19:25 landing her fifth place in the women's race. With a mark of 19:52, junior Caroline Morgan (Havertown, Pa./Haverford Township) placed 12th overall. Senior Casey Hoffman (Coplay, Pa./Parkland Senior) finished 40th with a 21:15 mark.

In the men's race, Juniata finished ninth overall logging an average time 17:22. Sophomore Nathaniel Alter (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) posted a 16:36 time earning him a 15th place overall finish. Freshman Trevor Stephens (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) ran for a 36th place with a time of 17:13. Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) and Ryan Trexler (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) both finished in the top 50, with both logging a time of 17:36.

Juniata next participates in the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24, with the men's race beginning at 10:30 a.m. and the women's beginning at 11:30 a.m.
