Complete Bucknell Winter Classic results

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Juniata College middle distance runner Ceth Parker (Sabillasville, Md./ Catoctin) and freshman distance runner Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./ Mount Union) set new school records Saturday during the 19th annual Bucknell Winter Classic in Lewisburg, Pa.

Just last year, Parker grabbed the Juniata 3000m record during the Bucknell Winter Classic, only to out-do himself this year. Parker completed the 3000m with a time of 8:55.63, surpassing his previous school record of 9:05.30.

Woods also ran the 3000m and set a new school record of 10:55.41. Lia Bella set the previous record in 2007 with a time of 10:48.36.

Also on the track, Aaron McCoy (Muncy, Pa./Hughesville) was third in his heat in the 60m dash, posting a time of 7.27 seconds and missing the final by two spots. Nicholas Bauer (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge) was fifth in the same heat, recording a time of 7.48 seconds. McCoy also ran in the 200m dash, where he was third in his heat with a mark of 24.05 seconds.

Senior Megan McQuillan (Severna Park, Md./Seton Keough) was fifth in her section in the women's mile run with a time of 5:25.24, and placed sixth in her section in the 800m posting a time of 2:27.50.

In the field events, Bauer was ninth in the long jump with a mark of 20-5 3/4.

Angela Shaffer (Prospect, Pa./Slippery Rock) was tied for first in the high jump, clearing the bar at 5-3 on her third attempt.

Juniata track and field will compete on Sunday, Feb. 13, at the Susquehanna Invitational in Selinsgrove, Pa.
