KINGS POINT, N.Y. -- A solid performance by the Eagles lead Juniata College to an astounding 84-46 victory over the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Saturday night at Liebertz Gymnasium.

The 38 point win is Juniata's largest of the season.

The Eagles played an overall outstanding game against the Mariners with 31 field goals on 71 attempts, an overall field goal percentage of 44 percent, including eight three point shots. The 31 field goals is the second most by Juniata this season.

Juniata senior Erin McGinley (Ashland, Pa./ Tri-Valley) scored a team- high 13 total points, while sophomore Natalie Glinsky (Indiana, Pa./ Indiana) added 12 points to the scoreboard, 11 of those coming in the first half. Meagan Raville (McSherrystown, Pa./ Delone Catholic) chipped in with 11 points, while Jordan Hileman (Williamsburg, Pa.
/ Williamsburg) and Jen Hnatuck (Mechanicsburg, Pa./ Trinity) each added 10.

The Mariners managed to take the lead for about two minutes in the first half until 10:07 mark, when the Eagles came back and snagged the lead on McGinley's jumper and held it for the remainder of the first half.

The Eagles showed no mercy in the second period, scoring an additional 49 points and not allowing Merchant Marine to take the lead at any point in the half.

Juniata returns to action on Friday evening, Feb. 11, when Moravian travels to the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
