HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College men's volleyball remained in second place in this week's AVCA Division III Top 15 Coaches Poll, but did gain a little ground on top-ranked Springfield College.

Second-ranked Juniata (8-1, 1-0 EIVA Hay) garnered 224 points in the voting, including a pair of first-place votes. Springfield (1-4) finished with 237 points and received the remaining 14 first-place votes in the balloting.

Nazareth College (3-1) was third with 201 points, followed by UC-Santa Cruz (1-2) with 191 points and Rivier College (8-0) with 182 points.

Philadelphia Biblical (3-1), MIT (8-1), NYU (1-1), Carthage (2-4), and Stevens (3-0) round out the bottom half of the top ten. Emmanuel (1-1), Medaille (6-0), Milwaukee School of Engineering (0-2), SUNY New Paltz (2-1), and Baruch (1-3) hold down the 11 through 15 spots in the AVCA poll.

Juniata is coming off three wins last Saturday and Sunday at the Thiel College Invitational, including a 3-0 victory over Carthage and a 3-1 triumph over Nazareth. The Eagles travel to Loretto, Pa., tonight to face Saint Francis University, and will make their 2011 home debut this Saturday night against Ohio State.
