MORRISTOWN, N.J. -- Newcomer Alicia Snyder (Jonestown, Pa./Northern Lebanon) scored once for Juniata College women's soccer today, but one was not enough to match Drew University's three goals, ending in a 3-1 loss for the Eagles in Landmark Conference play in Morristown, New Jersey.

Drew's Emily Weida finished first off a cross from Liz Loiodice 17 minutes into the first half, while Kristin Blake scored for the Rangers in the 33rd minute. Snyder interrupted Drew's scoring in the 75th minute of the match, however Loiodice secured the win for the Rangers off an assist from Christine Meconi in the 83rd minute.

Snyder had four shots for the day out of the Eagles total of eight.

Kristen Penska (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and Lauren Auster-Gussman (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) split goalkeeping duties for Juniata, facing 21 shots from the Rangers and seven corner kicks. Penska allowed two goals and logged two saves while Gussman allowed one goal and logged five saves. Drew keeper Kim Jaikisson made three saves in all 90 minutes, facing eight shots from the Eagles and two corner kicks.

The Eagles will return to the pitch at Winton Hill Field on Wednesday, Oct. 20, when they face Landmark Conference opponent Susquehanna University at 3:30 pm.
