HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College women's soccer shutout Penn State Harrisburg 2-0 with the help of Caitlin Bigelow's (La Mesa, Ca./The Academy of Our Lady of Peace) three points on offense Wednesday afternoon at Winton Hill Field.

Penn State Harrisburg's offsides trap kept Juniata scoring at bay until Katie Keating (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) linked up with Bigelow in the 40th minute to start the lead.

The Eagles didn't waste much time in the second half. Just six minutes in freshman Heather Hodge (York, Pa./York Suburban) found the feet of leading goal scorer, Bigelow for her third point of the day.

Head Coach Scott McKenzie made substitutions from all over the board, setting the Eagles up for a total team effort and providing 19 shots compared to three from the Lady Lions.

Juniata had eight corner kicks compared to one from Penn State Harrisburg.

Juniata goalkeeper Gabriella Ricciardi (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) started in net for the Eagles and tallied her second shutout of the season and her third win. She made one save throughout the game. Previously injured senior goalkeeper Lauren Auster-Gussman (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) finished out the last ten minutes in the net for the Eagles but was not challenged. Brittany Adams made nine saves in goal for the Lady Lions, but was charged with the two goals allowed.

The Eagles will return to the pitch in Morristown, N.J. to play Drew University at 1:00 pm. this Saturday.
