Huntingdon, Pa. -- Juniata College men's soccer defeated Lycoming College 1-0 Tuesday afternoon at Winton Hill Field.

After 52 scoreless minutes, Juniata midfielder Jeffrey Gring (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) found the back of the net for the game-winning goal.

Greg Hess (Hanover, Pa./South Western) had an active game in the midfield for the Eagles tallying four shots. Anthony Glossner (Centre Hall, Pa./Penns Valley) and Luke Waddell (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) each had two shots.

Lycoming outshot Juniata with a 12-11 edge and also had a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Juniata keeper Joe Kohler (Vienna, Va./James Madison) had an excellent performance in goal, making three crucial saves for the Eagles in 90 minutes of work. James Quinn played the full 90 minutes and made three saves for the Warriors.

Juniata (6-2) travels to Landmark Conference opponent Goucher College (2-5) in Baltimore, Md. this Saturday to play a 3:30 pm. game.
