SALISBURY, M.d. -- The Juniata College field hockey team traveled to Salisbury, M.d., to face the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets in non-conference action. Juniata finished their rebounds to defeat Randolph-Macon 6-1.

Just three minutes into the game, Molly Snyder (Boalsburg, Pa./State College Area) received a quick pass from Shauna Deschenes (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) to finish off of a rebound from the left side of the goalmouth. Deschenes assisted the second goal of the game to Paula Price (Camp Hill, Pa./East Pennsboro) in the 12th minute.

Raldolph-Macon forward Mary McCarthy snuck one in two minutes later off of a rebound. The Eagles responded with four more goals. Deschenes was a stand out player of the day, scoring in the 39th minute by rebounding her own shot. Price and Suzi Lindquist (Richmond, Va./Henrico) each had an unassisted goal. Liz Slimak (Elizabethtown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) scored off of an assist from Brittany Kauffman (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove).

Moira Nugent (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) was the winning goalie for the day. She saw 65 minutes of play and saved one shot. Janelle Howard (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) also saw time in the net. She saw six minutes of play but was not challenged.
Juniata outshot Randolph-Macon 29-4. Juniata had a 13-6 advantage in penalty corners.
