LATROBE Pa. -- Juniata College scored once per half in response to an early goal from Saint Vincent College in men's soccer action. Juniata played Wednesday evening to improve their record to 3-1 with their 2-1 win.

Just eight minutes into the game, Saint Vincent player Gage Arnold scored off of a penalty kick. Juniata responded in the 16th minute when Noah Bowers (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) scored off of the second penalty kick of the match. The score remained 1-1 until Greg Hess (Hanover, Pa./South Western) assisted Jeffrey Gring (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) on a through ball in the 65th minute.

Juniata outshot Saint Vincent with a 10-8 edge and had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Juniata's keeper, Ezra Cassel (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) finished the evening with four saves and played all 90 minutes of the match. Saint Vincent's keeper, Jake Gilbertson also played the full match and had one save.

The Eagles are on the road again on Sunday, Sept. 12 to face Hood College in Frederick, M.d. at 1:00 p.m.
