HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College sophomore setter Mike Kraft (York, Pa./Eastern York) and sophomore outside hitter Matt Schmidt (Catonsville, Md./Mount St. Joseph) have been named to the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) All-Academic Team.

Kraft, an elementary education major, was Juniata's starting setter for much of the 2010 season. He led the Eagles with 602 assists (7.25 per game), and logged 94 kills (1.13 per game) after moving to outside hitter at the tail end of the season.

Schmidt, a management major, was a reserve outside hitter and serving specialist for the Eagles. He recorded seven service aces this season, and logged 13 digs.

To be eligible for the EIVA All-Academic Team, a player must have sophomore eligibility or greater, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, and play in at least 60% of the games played by their team.

Juniata finished the season with a 9-13 overall record, 3-7 in the EIVA's Tait Division.
