Huntingdon, Pa. - The Juniata College baseball team had two representatives on the Commonwealth Conference all-star squad, with both earning a spot on the first team. Senior first baseman Tim Dobson (Millville/Millville, NJ) and senior outfielder Lucas Kelleher (Bishop Guilfoyle/Altoona) garnered the all-star laurels. Dobson posted his third showing on the top unit, including his second straight appearance as a first-base member. Kelleher was a first-team selection as a junior and a second-unit member as a sophomore.

Dobson led the Eagles with a school-record 11 home runs and a program-standard 42 RBI this spring. He also posted personal bests in stolen bases (12), hits (54), runs scored (34) and at-bats (135), and was named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week one time. Dobson finished the season among the leaders in the conference in RBI (first), total bases (101-first), home runs (second), stolen bases (third), slugging percentage (.748-third), runs scored (third), hits (fourth) and batting average (fifth). Defensively, he handled 308 total chances and committed just three errors for a .990 fielding percentage.

On the Juniata career charts, Dobson is first in RBI (134), home runs (27) and doubles (35). He is third in triples (12), at-bats (452) and hits (162) and fifth in runs scored (97) on the career lists at Juniata. For his career, Dobson ended as a .358 hitter and that ranks 11th on the all-time ledger on College Hill. In 2000, he was picked as a first-team Commonwealth member as a designated hitter. He was also Juniata's most valuable player in 2001.

Kelleher, who was tabbed as the team's most valuable player earlier this year and in 2002, spent time at right and center field this season. He finished first on the team in batting average (.406), hits (56), at-bats (138), runs scored (39) and doubles (12), triples (3) and on-base percentage (.503). Kelleher was also second among the Eagles in stolen bases (11) and walks (20). Among the conference leaders, he ranked first in hits, runs scored and triples, second in on-base percentage, fourth in batting average, tied for fifth in stolen bases and tied for seventh in doubles. Kelleher ended his four-year tenure ranked first on the career list in runs scored (117), fourth in hits (154), fifth in at-bats (412), sixth in doubles (26) and seventh in batting average (.374). He was a first-team pick as a utility player last spring, while in 2000 Kelleher earned a spot on the second team as an outfielder.

Juniata ended the year with a 19-20 overall record and an 11-10 mark in Commonwealth action.
