BETHLEHEM, Pa, - The women's soccer team fell to Moravian College on Saturday afternoon, 2-0. The game was played at Moravian in Bethlehem, Pa.

Juniata outshot the Greyhounds 8-5 for the game, but could not solve Moravian (6-4-1, 2-0-0) goalkeeper Sarah Halpin. Junior goalie Lauren Auster-Gussman (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) and Halpin recorded two saves each.

The game was knotted at halftime, 0-0, but the Greyhounds were able to put two on the board in the second half. A corner kick at the 57:14 mark by Kim Gogel went through the defense and right to Tara Alberse who was able to put home the game-winner. Eileen Black scored with less than 15 minutes to go to put the Greyhounds up 2-0. Tess Lowe got the assist.

Freshman Sydney Masters (Bellefonte, Pa./Bellefonte Area) posted two shots to lead the Eagles. Masters and senior Shannon Pierce (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) each tallied a shot on goal.

The Eagles are now 4-7-0 overall and 1-1 in the Landmark Conference, but play again on October 7 when they return home to face Dickinson College on Winton Hill Field at 4 p.m.
