HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Juniata College women's tennis team carried four of the six singles matches on their way to a 5-4 win over Emory & Henry College (Va.), Wednesday evening in Hilton Head, S.C.

Junior Amanda Fontana (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) led the parade of singles wins with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at no. 1 over E&H's Savanna Tickle. Katie Healy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon), Jenny Wang (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area), and Hilary Walsh (Waynesboro, Pa./Waynesboro Area) also had straight-set singles wins.

Juniata's lone doubles victory was at no. 1 doubles, where Fontana and Healy dispatched Emory & Henry's Tickle and Jessie Jacobs, 8-0.

The win improved Juniata's record this season to 4-3, allowing the Eagles to match their win total from all of last season. Juniata wraps up its spring break slate of matches on Thursday, when it face Bridgewater College (Va.).
