MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Junior Rachel Nagy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and senior Liz Schmitt (Knoxville, Tenn./H. Frank Carey, N.Y.) each drove in three runs to lead Juniata College to a 12-0 win over Keystone College, to salvage a split out of the Eagles' season opening doubleheader on Monday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Juniata (1-1) jumped all over Keystone in the second inning with eight runs. Nagy had a two-run single in the second, while Caley McCool (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley) and Melissa Moffat (Oceanside, Calif./Oceanside) each belted two-run doubles. Schmitt and Sarah Eckard (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) each stroked RBI singles in the second, rounding out the Eagle runs.

The Eagles drove in four more runs in the third, including two runs on another Schmitt single.

Juniata starter Alyssa Erb (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) struck out six and allowed just two hits on her way to the complete game win.

Juniata continues its spring break trip on Tuesday when the Eagles face Wentworth Institute of Technology and LaRoche College in a doubleheader starting at 9:30 a.m.
