HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College women's basketball team held a youth clinic on Saturday, Dec. 13, and the men's basketball team will host a "Little Eagles" clinic on Sunday, Dec. 14, as both teams take a weekend break from final exams.

The women's team offered some extra workouts to the teams in the 5th and 6th grade division of the Huntingdon Community Center yourh basketball league, Saturday morning at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center. Approximately 20 kids participated in the clinic.

The Juniata men's basketball team will hold a "Little Eagles" basketball clinic, sponsored by the Mutual Benefit Group, on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 1:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center. The clinic is for kids ages 5 to 12, and there is no admission charge.

If you are not already registered for the Mutual Benefit Group "Little Eagles" program, registration will be available prior to the clinic.

Both teams return to action at the end of this week.

The Juniata women's team will play its final pre-Christmas contest on Thursday, Dec. 18, when it travels to Grantham, Pa., to face Messiah College. The Eagle men's hoops team will close out the 2008 portion of the slate at home on Saturday, Dec. 20, when it hosts Washington & Jefferson College at 2:00 p.m. in the Kennedy S+RC.
