HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Four members of the Juniata College softball team were named to All-Landmark Conferene squads, when the league's all-conference teams were announced on Thursday.

Sophomore first baseman Rachel Nagy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) was the lone Eagle selection to the league's First team. She leads the team in batting with a .430 average, good enough for second among Landmark Conference batting leaders, and is third in the league in hits (49), runs batted in (33), slugging percentage (.711) and on base percentage (.472). This is Nagy's second all-conference honor of her career; she earned Second team All-Conference honors during her freshman season in the Commonwealth Conference.

Sophomore starting pitcher Alyssa Erb (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg), junior third baseman Tara Carl (Duke Center, Pa./Otto-Eldred), and sophomore outfielder Sarah Eckard (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) were named Second team All-Landmark Conference.

Erb led the league in strikeouts during the regular season with 164, and is second in earned run average (1.41) and opposing batting average (.183). She posted a 15-9 record this season with two saves over 30 appearances and 19 starts.

Carl was second on the team in hitting, ninth in the Landmark Conference, with a .359 average. Her 33 runs scored this season was a team high and ranked second in the league, and she was eighth in both on base percentage (.424) and total hits (42).

Eckard was fourth on the team in hitting with a .354 average, while her 46 hits were second-most among Juniata players and the sixth-best total in the Landmark Conference.

Juniata finished the season with a 21-16 overall record, its first 20-win season since the 2004 campaign. The Eagles logged a 4-8 Landmark Conference record.
