HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- For the second consecutive week, senior pitcher Jay Enoch (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) has claimed Landmark Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors, for the week ending April 20, 2008.

Enoch pitched a complete seven inning game, earning the win over Landmark Conference foe Scranton University last Saturday afternoon at Connell Park in Scranton, Pa., improving his record to 7-2.

He allowed a total of only four hits and two walks. He completed the game with 10 strikeouts, giving him 78 for the season so far, surpassing his career-high for strikeouts in a season. Facing 23 batters, he held his opponents to .174 at the plate, allowing zero extra base hits.

Enoch currently ranks among the top in five different conference categories: opponent batting average (.165), innings pitched (62.2), strikeouts (78), strikeouts looking (33), and wins (7).

The Eagles are currently ranked number one in the Landmark Conference and have clinched the right to hold Landmark Conference Championships from May 2 to May 4 at Langdon-Goodale Field. Juniata continues competition this weekend when they host their last regular season conference series against Moravian College. The Eagles and the Greyhounds will hold a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Langdon-Goodale Field in Huntingdon, Pa.
