HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College senior Brian Cannon (Fallston, Md./Fallston) has been named a Second team selection to the D3hoops.com All-Mid Atlantic Region team, which was announced Wednesday morning.

Cannon was one of only three Landmark Conference players on the All-Mid Atlantic squad, joining Susquehanna's Josh Robinson (Second team) and Scranton's Tom Bicknell (Third team).

Cannon finished his senior season averaging 18.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, and was second in the Landmark Conference in scoring and fourth in rebounding. His 521 points is third among Juniata's single-season scoring leaders, and his 1,391 career points is fifth among all-time scorers for the Blue and Gold. With 579 career rebounds, he is just the fifth player in Juniata history to record both 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in a career. Cannon earned First team All-Landmark Conference honors this season.

Under seventh-year head coach Greg Curley, the Eagles finished the season with a 17-11 mark, 9-5 in the Landmark Conference, and advanced to the conference tournament championship game for the second consecutive season. Juniata also received its second straight bid to the ECAC Division III South Championship.

D3hoops.com, now in its 13th year of existence, is considered the preeminent authority on NCAA Division III men's and women's basketball. The D3hoops.com All-Region teams were nominated and then voted upon by the sports information directors in each of eight regions around the country.
