HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- David Lehmann, assistant professor of geology at Juniata College, in collaboration with three other Juniata faculty members, presented a talk on the college's Remote Field Course at a meeting of the Geological Society of America in November in Boston, Mass.

Lehmann presented his work on, "Remote Field Course: Integrating Geological Skills into Holistic Problem-Solving for Underclassmen." Lehmann's collaborators for the paper are Paula Martin, associate professor of environmental science, John Matter, assistant professor of biology and Paula Wagoner, assistant professor of anthropology.

The presentation focused on how Juniata's Remote Field Course teaches students to collect data in a variety of scientific disciplines, and then uses lessons and methods from those disciplines to solve scientific problems.
