GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Juniata College men's and women's cross country teams both produced top three finishers, but lost to both Gettysburg College and Messiah College is a tri-meet Saturday afternoon in Gettysburg, Pa. In the women's meet, Juniata was paced by Laura Rupprecht (Jefferson, Md./Brunswick), who finished third overall on a the 6 Km course in 24:14.40. Megan McQuillan (Severna Park, Md./Seton Keough) and Meghan Jones (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) were the only other top 10 finishers for the Juniata women; McQuilland finished eighth in a time of 24:38.93, and Jones was 10th in 24:41.90. In the team competition, the Juniata women lost to Gettysburg, 25-32, and lost to Messiah, 20-38. Matt Bailey (East Petersburg, Pa./Hempfield) finished second overall in the men's 8 Km race, posting a time of 27:07.57. Sam Williams (Roaring Spring, Pa./Central) was fifth in 27:31.21.
