Huntingdon, Pa. - Senior Lisa Dumansky (Nutley/Nutley, NJ), a member of the Juniata College women's tennis team, was named to the Commonwealth Conference all-star squad for her play during the 2001 season. It marked the second consecutive year that Dumansky copped post-season laurels from the conference.
Dumansky, who played at number one singles and first doubles for the second straight year for the Eagles, finished the season with a 6-2 singles mark and a 10-2 record on the court with a partner. She was 16-4 overall for an .800 winning percentage. She led Juniata in singles, doubles and overall victories this fall. Dumansky opened the year with five straight wins in singles action and four of the victories were straight-set triumphs. She also went 5-2 in singles matches during the Commonwealth season.

As for her play in doubles action, she and partner Liz Osche (Acton-Boxborough/Acton, MA) fell in their first outing of the season, but then posted 10 consecutive triumphs before finishing second in the MAC Individual Championship. Dumansky and Osche were the MAC double champion tandem last fall, but dropped a two-set decision in the finals this year after entering the tournament as the number-one seed.

Dumansky ended her career with a 27-17 record in singles action, a 35-14 mark in doubles and an impressive 62-31 overall record during her four-year stint.
The Eagles finished the 2001 season with a 3-7 overall record and a 2-5 mark in the Middle Atlantic Corporation (MAC) Commonwealth League.
