HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College head football coach Kevin Burke has announced that the following 38 recruits (37 freshman, 1 sophomore) will be in attendance when the Eagles open camp on Friday, August 17:

Coach Burke enters his fourth season in charge of the blue and gold gridiron fortunes with a 12-18 three-year mark, including a 5-5 record in 1998 and 6-4 in 1999. The 6-4 record two seasons back was the best Juniata football performance since the 1990 club went 7-2-1.
Juniata, which is looking to improve on last fall's heart-breaking 1-9 overall record (including six losses by seven points or less) opens the 2001 season on Saturday, September 8 with a home game against FDU-Madison at 1:30 p.m.
