HUNTINGDON, Pa. â?? The Juniata College women\'s tennis team was unable to close out its conference regular-season schedule with a win as the Eagles suffered a 7-2 set-back to visiting Moravian in Commonwealth action Saturday afternoon. The match began in Huntingdon but then was completed in Altoona after rain delayed play. Juniata is now 6-4 overall and 2-4 in the conference, while the Greyhounds improved to 6-1 on the season and 4-1 in the conference. Despite the loss, Juniata may still have a chance to earn a spot in the conference postseason, depending upon how the remaining matches play out. On this day Juniata earned one victory in doubles play and another in singles action, but could not muster any more than that. In doubles the first doubles duo of Caroline Weisser (York Suburban/York) and Maggie Wolenter (Audubon/Audubon, N.J.) prevailed by an 8-5 score. In singles competition it was senior Molly Coursey (Westminster/Hanover) who battled to win the first set in a tie breaker, and then finished it off in the second set to post a 7-6, 7-5 win at fifth singles. Though its conference matches are complete, Juniata will return to action on Tuesday with a non-conference match against Penn State-Altoona. ###
