ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. ? The Juniata College swimming team added to its late-season roll with a tough 106-90 victory over MAC foe Elizabethtown on the road Saturday afternoon. The win was the second-straight conference win for the Eagles and improved them to 5-6 on the season and 3-4 in conference dual meets. Elizabethtown fell to 2-9 on the year and dropped to 2-4 in conference action.

It was a big day for Kasey Brough (Carlisle/Gardners) who posted a pair of first-place finishes, one of which was a lifetime best swim, while also anchoring a winning relay effort. Brough led a sweep of the top three positions in the mile, and then added a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly. Her time in the fly was a lifetime best as she posted a time of 1:09.9. Rachel Almy (Foxcroft Academy/Charleston, Me.) and Collin Thompson (Altoona/Altoona) placed second and third respectively in the mile behind Brough. Both Almy and Thompson had lifetime best swims in the event.

Also posting a pair of first-place efforts on the day was Amy Sutherland (Norwich/Norwich, N.Y.). She touched the wall first in the 400 IM, and then recorded a lifetime best swim en route to claiming a win in the 500 freestyle. She earned a time of 5:30.05 in the 500 freestyle. Carlie Zoubek (Paul IV/Burke, Va.) notched a second-place finish behind Sutherland in the 400 IM.

Juniata then closed the meet with a victory in the 200 freestyle relay. The quartet of Thompson, Almy, Kim Dierolf (Boyertown/Boyertown) and Brough earned the victory to seal the overall win.

Juniata will compete in its final dual meet of the season next Saturday when they host MAC opponent King?s College.
