HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- National recording artists The Pat McGee Band, with opening act Virginia Coalition, will perform in concert at Juniata College at 9 p.m., Friday, April 1, in the dining facility, Baker Refectory, in Ellis College Center on the Juniata campus.

Tickets are $15 for students and $20 for general admission. To purchase tickets in advance or for further information, please call (814) 641-3000. If tickets are available the day of the concert, they will be sold at the door. Doors will open for ticket holders at 8:30 p.m.

The Pat McGee Band, which has put out two major-label albums on Giant Records and Warner Brothers Records respectively, has been touring incessantly, averaging almost 25o concerts per year. The group's latest album is "Save Me." In addition, the group has released four other albums: "Shine" (2000), "General Admission" (1999), "From the Wood" (1997) and "Revel" (1997).

Members of the Pat McGee band are: Pat McGee, singer and guitarist; Jonathan Williams, keyboards; John Small, bass; Chardy McEwen, percussion; and Chris Williams, drums.

The group has played with such acts as Fleetwood Mac, Ziggy Marley and James Taylor.

Virginia Coalition's current album, "OK to Go," has garnered critical acclaim and was released just after the band received the Readers Choice Award from the Washington Post for Best D.C. Band. The group is currently touring with the Pat McGee Band and has performed with such acts as Train, Dave Matthews Band, the Roots and Counting Crows.

The band members are: Andrew Poliakoff, lead vocals, guitar; Paul Ottinger, keyboards/guitar; Jarrett Nicolay bass, guitar and banjo; and John Patrick, drums. The band formed in high school at T.C. Williams High in Alexandria, Va., the same high school featured in the film "Remember the Titans."

The band has release three other albums, including "The Colors of the Sound," "Townburg" and "Rock & Roll Party."
