Huntingdon, Pa. - Juniata men's soccer player Jeff Gehring (Exeter Township/Reading) has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District II College Division Men's Soccer Team for his efforts on the field and in the classroom. The Eagle junior was a second-team selection as a forward. The team consists of 24 student-athletes, 12 on both the first and second teams, with each team consisting of three forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and a goalkeeper.

Gehring has been one of Juniata's top offensive threats since arriving on College Hill. This season he ranked second on the team in total points with 12 and was first on the squad with four assists. He was also tied for second among Juniata players with four goals. As a sophomore Gehring captured second-team All-Conference recognition as he paced Juniata with eight goals and 17 points on the season. He has knocked in 16 goals in his career while adding eight assists for a career total of 40 points. He was chosen as a team captain prior to his junior season, a role he will fill again during his senior campaign.

In the classroom Gehring sports a cumulative GPA of 3.881 while pursuing a degree in mathematics. He was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll last fall.

The members of the College Sports Information Directors of America by districts select the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.
