Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College will be hosting a pair of Commonwealth Conference postseason events on Wednesday, November 3 as the Eagle women's volleyball and field hockey teams have both earned postseason berths. The second-seeded Juniata field hockey team will host third-seed Lebanon Valley at 2:30 pm on Winton Hill field in a conference semifinal, followed by the Juniata women's volleyball team hosting Lebanon Valley at 7 pm in Memorial Gym also in a semifinal match.

Admission will be charged for the events with tickets priced at $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for students. Children under six get in free.

The Eagle women's volleyball team is the top-seed in the four-team volleyball postseason as the Eagles finished the regular season with a record of 30-3 overall and 7-0 in the conference. Fourth-seed Lebanon Valley has a 24-5 record on the season, and a 5-2 mark in conference play. Juniata defeated the Flying Dutchmen 3-0 in Annville earlier this season. The winner of the contest will face the winner of the match between second-seed Elizabethtown and third-seed Susquehanna, with that winner earning an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championships.

Juniata has won the previous 23 conference championships, and will be looking to earn a postseason berth for the 24th-consecutive season. Juniata earned 3-0 victories over each of the team's in the postseason during the regular season. The Eagles have had six of the nine Commonwealth Conference volleyball players of the week during the regular season and haven't lost a conference game since 1981. Juniata is currently ranked first in the AVCA/CSTV Division III Coaches Poll.

The Eagle field hockey team enters the postseason as the second-seed as the Eagles finished the regular season 14-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference. The third-seed Flying Dutchmen are 14-6 overall and 5-2 in the conference. The winner of the match will play the winner of the match between top-seed Messiah and fourth-seed Widener on Saturday at the highest remaining seed. The winner of the conference tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.

The Juniata field hockey team is back in the postseason for the second time in as many seasons. Juniata advanced to the conference championship match in 2003. The Eagles have posted a 14-3 record, giving Juniata the fewest losses it has had in a season since the 1991 team finished 8-2-1. Juniata is ranked eighth in the most recent STX/NFHCA Division III Coaches Poll and has been ranked as high as seventh this season.

The match will be the second meeting this season between Juniata and Lebanon Valley. The Eagles topped the Flying Dutchmen 1-0 in Annville earlier this season, winning the match on penalty strokes. Juniata defeated Lebanon Valley by a 2-1 score in the conference semifinals last season, in a match that was played at Lebanon Valley.
