The Juniata College men's soccer team earned the first victory of its Germany adventure as the Eagles topped FSV Kuhlungsborn by a 5-1 score.

The Eagles controlled the match throughout and had four different players tally goals. Jeff Gehring knocked home two goals and added a pair of assists in the victory. Kyle Dunn scored once and recorded a pair of assists as well.

Playing with a limited roster due to injury, Coach Scott McKenzie used back-up goalkeepers as substitutes in the second half, and saw one of them--sophomore Mark Guthridge score a goal. Josh Cady added the other goal for Juniata which improved its record to 1-1 on the trip.

After a post-match celebration with the opponents, the Eagles will be traveling to a weekend tournament in Gemen, Germany. Juniata will play a match both Saturday and Sunday in Gemen before rounding out the trip in Borken.
