Insurance
ALL international students are required to enroll in Juniata’s Insurance and cannot waive it.
All full-time students are required to indicate proof of insurance that will provide coverage in the event of an accident. Juniata College students are automatically covered under the Student Health Insurance Plan. The cost of the Student Health Insurance Plan is $2350 annually for undergraduate students and $4083 annually for graduate students. This charge will appear on each student's bill.
Any student not wishing to be covered by the Student Health Insurance Plan must complete an online waiver by visiting the https://rcmdstudentbenefits.com/ website. You may also e-mail Juniata@rcmd.com with questions about the coverage.
*The insurance fee is not the same as the Health and Wellness Center fee.

Medical Excuse Policy
The Juniata College Health and Wellness Center does not provide medical excuses or notes for minor illnesses or injuries that result in absence from class. In such cases, students should correspond directly with the faculty as soon as possible regarding the situation, preferably before a missed class.
In cases of such severe illness that hospitalization is required, that information will be made available, with the student's permission, to the appropriate professors.
