Joann Noel joined the Juniata community in 2024, bringing with her a passion for student care and wellness. Throughout her career in higher education, she's focused on academic success, sexual assault prevention, and creating spaces where all students can thrive.
As Juniata's Director of Student Accessibility Services, Joann is dedicated to fostering a genuine sense of belonging for students with disabilities and neurodivergence. She also serves as the staff advisor for both the Disabled Student Union and the Kayak Club—two communities close to her heart.
Joann holds a BS in Political Science and Economics from Temple University and an MS in Counseling from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
When she's not on campus, you'll likely find her hiking, backpacking, kayaking, or snowboarding. And on quieter evenings, she's probably settling in with a Ken Burns documentary with her husband and beloved animals.
