HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The womens' volleyball and soccer teams are both fighting a tough battle this weekend. The opponent is breast cancer. Friday night, the volleyball team will host Carnegie Mellon University in the "Dig Pink" match starting at 8 p.m. Saturday will feature the soccer team in a matchup against the University of Scranton at 1 p.m., both in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Rick Dunetz, the founder and chairman of the Side-Out Foundation from Washington, DC, will speak before the volleyball match on Friday. The team will wear special pink jerseys, and sell pink "Dig Pink" t-shirts throughout the match. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, a "Chinese Auction", and the concession stand will be open. All proceeds benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which raises money for breast cancer research through volleyball-related activities.

Saturday will feature the women's soccer team wearing pink jerseys during the game as well as using a pink ball when they take on the Royals on Winton Hill Field. They will also have pink jerseys, without a name or number, for sale throughout the contest. In addition, there will be free give-a-ways that the women will give out before, during and after the game.
