BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Sophomore righthander John Love (Loysburg, Pa./Northern Bedford) pitched a four-hit complete game effort to lead Juniata College to a 5-0 win over Moravian College, in game two of the teams' Landmark Conference doubleheader on Gillespie Field in Bethlehem, Pa. Moravian won the first game of the twinbill, 8-1.

Love fanned five Greyhound batters over his seven complete innings on the mound, and only twice allowed base runners to get past second base.

Juniata (13-20, 6-11 Landmark) scored what would prove to be the game-winning runs in the sixth inning, when the Eagles broke the scoreless tie on a John Martinez (Mount Union, Pa./Mount Union) bunt single that scored Adam Spadafora (Asbury, N.J./Pennington School). Kevin Small (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North), who reached on a fielding error by Moravian at second base, scored later in the frame on a double play grounder by Dane Ott (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport).

The Eagles tacked on three more runs in the seventh, including one run on an RBI single by Matt Sullivan (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown). Two more runs scored on a bases loaded walk issued to Martinez, and a hit-by-pitch on Ott.

Moravian starter Ryan Cummings struck out six Eagles over his six-and-a-third innings on the hill, and allowed all four Juniata runs, to drop his record to 3-3.

In the first game, Juniata managed just three hits off Moravian's Brendan Close, and picked up its only run of the game in the sixth. Spadafora reached on a HBP, and later crossed on Martinez's single into right field.

Moravian (19-17, 11-6 Landmark) plated three runs in the first and third innings, and let Close hold Juniata at bay the rest of the way for the win.

Juniata and Moravian will complete their three-game Landmark series on Sunday, April 26, at 12:00 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pa.
