HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College football was picked to finish 10th in the Centennial Conference in 2011, in preseason voting of the conference head coaches and sports information directors released Thursday.

Johns Hopkins University, which captured a share of the Centennial title in 2010, received 14 first-place votes and was picked to take the conference crown in 2011 with 157 points. Ursinus College was second with 130 points, while Muhlenberg College was third with 129 points and four first-place votes. Franklin & Marshall received the remaining two first-place votes and 116 points.

Moravian College (98 points), Gettysburg College (79 points), Dickinson College (66 points), McDaniel College (54 points), Susquehanna University (54 points), and Juniata rounded out the poll.

Juniata opens its 2011 season on Saturday, Sept. 3, when it hosts Washington & Jefferson College at Knox Stadium.
