Senior Director of Major Gifts

Joining the Juniata Staff in 2016, Joel Diamond brings extensive experience to his position in the Development Office at Juniata. Early in his career, Joel established himself in the steel forging industry, where he spent 20 years. Channeling his entrepreneurial spirit, it wasn't long before Joel opened his own office supply business. After a successful eight-year run, he joined the Penn State team as an assistant ticket and sales manager in Athletics and later transferred to the academic side of the University. Joel worked at Penn State’s College of Communications for four years, where he raised over 3 million dollars. Now, Joel has come to Juniata to work in Development as the Senior Director of Major Gifts.

Joel is originally from Lewistown, PA, and he graduated from Penn State University in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in science and marketing. Now, he lives in Reedsville, PA, with his wife, Rachael, also a Penn State alum. Joel has two daughters and three grandchildren, and he enjoys working out and reading.
