(PHOTO) John D. Fair ’65 published the book “Muscles in the Movies: Perfecting the Art of Illusion” after eight years of writing. His book tells the story of how muscular men’s and women’s appearances are manipulated to enhance the appeal of their productions in filmmaking.
1967
Leroy D. Mell Jr. ’67 moved with his wife to Tampa, Fla. from Virginia. Since Lee retired, he has been enjoying traveling with his wife in their RV and visiting their grandchildren.
1969
H. Charles Locke III ’69 moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland after retirement.

(PHOTO) Karen A. Kaminskas ’72 was featured on the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania’s website for her service as Deacon and Associate in Ministry at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, as well as her time spent running the Ardmore Food Pantry.
Paula A. (Schober) Light ’72 has been enjoying retirement and the time spent with her seven grandchildren.
Linda G. (Grove) Locke ’72 moved to Galena, Md. from New Jersey.
1973
(PHOTO) S. Anne (Broderick) White ’73 was appointed as a member of the Council of Trustees for Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Anne is Vice President Human Resources Associate Officer at S&T Bank. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Human Resources at S.W. Jack Drilling Company. She is active on other boards, in her church, and with Meals on Wheels. Anne is married to Senator Donald White ’72 and is the parent of Abby (White) Youtz ’04.
1976
Janet E. Mercincavage ’76 retired from King’s College as Vice President for Student Affairs. She began her career there in the Accounting Department and later became a tenured faculty member. King’s College recognized her numerous times, including All College Award for Faculty, Teaching Excellence and Campus Leadership Award, PICPA Outstanding Education Award, and All College Award for Administration.
1978
Thomas E. Gibboney ’78 retired as the Head Baseball Coach at Juniata. He spent more than 30 years in the Juniata Athletics programs, serving as an assistant and head coach for both baseball and football, where he took part in over 300 wins and numerous other honors. Through the years, Tom also coached football and baseball teams at Waynesboro High School and Huntingdon Area High School. He was inducted into the Huntingdon County Sports Hall of Fame in 2014 and the Juniata College Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.

James C. Brumbaugh ’79 was awarded the 2020 Kiwanian of the Year for the Altoona Kiwanis Club, an international organization focused on service projects for children.
1980
Lisa L. (Masood) Giles ’80 was appointed to the Milestone Pharmaceuticals Board of Directors, where she serves as a member of the Audit Committee. With 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Lisa is the CEO of Giles and Associates, Consultancy, Inc.
1995
Frank P. Vogel ’95 in his first year as coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, led the team to an NBA Finals win in 2020. Prior to coaching the Lakers, Frank served as head coach of the Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic. He also was an assistant coach and video coordinator with the Boston Celtics for eight years.

R. Eliot Fagley ’98 raised the 12 Flag at the Seahawks vs. Patriots game in September of 2020. He was chosen to represent physicians, nurses, patient care techs, therapy experts, and pharmacists in their critical care work with COVID-19 patients.

Anthony J. DeStefano ’02 was appointed Chief Scientist of the Commercial Device Operations group of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where he will focus on driving research and strategy for software reverse engineering at the lab.
Joseph A. Motz ’02 became Associate Pastor at the Church of the Apostles in Lancaster, Pa. He was also recently awarded the Allen S. Meck Award for Excellence in Pastoral Ministry by Lancaster Theological Seminary.

(PHOTO) Loni N. (Fultz) Kline ’03 received the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation from the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School of The American College of Financial Services at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

(PHOTO BOTTOM) Jigar J. Patel ’08 was named as the 2021 PAECT Leader of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association for Educational Communications and Technology. Jigar has been innovative and creative in removing barriers in distance education during the pandemic for some of Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable communities. He also led a project to distribute Raspberry Pis, led the infrastructure design team for statewide datacasting, and was one of the leaders in a PAsmart Advancing grant to develop a STEM Lending Library for 11 Intermediate Units across the state.
