With a POE in art history, students examine the histories of painting, sculpture, architecture, and graphic art in relation to contextual issues, such as religion, politics, society, economics, gender, philosophy, and culture.
Students begin with the introductory Survey of Western Art course before moving on to the advanced courses, in which they will further develop their written, spoken, analytical, and comparative skills.
