Director of Annual Giving

Greta came to Juniata in 2016 from West Virginia University in Morgantown, where she was a member of the Mountaineer Athletic Club staff as assistant director of stewardship & special events and, most recently, as assistant director of donor relations/director of premium seating. In that role she managed all of the Club’s special giving funds, including 15 different sport-specific initiatives and the planning and execution of numerous annual fundraising events. Greta was also responsible for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate sponsors and a wide range of donors to the Mountaineer Athletic Club.

An outstanding student-athlete at Huntingdon Area High School and the University of Delaware, Greta began her work in athletics development while at Delaware. She served as an athletics development intern during her junior year and graduated in May 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a minor in advertising. A four-year member of the Blue Hens women’s volleyball team, Greta was a team captain as a senior and served as co-president of the Student Athlete Advisory Council as well as on the University of Delaware Athletics Governing Board. She was a member of Lambda Pi Eta and the Communications National Honor Society.

Prior to joining the staff at WVU, Greta was an athletics coordinator for Athletic Development at the University of Pennsylvania from 2011-13, during which time Penn Athletics reached its goal of $112 million in the school’s overall multi-billion dollar campaign. Among the highlights during Greta’s tenure at Penn were new annual fundraising highs for seven of the eight teams under her coordination, including nearly doubling the goal for the Quakers swimming program effort. Along with direct fundraising, Greta was responsible for the management of planning and execution of the Penn Athletic Alumni Homecoming pregame hospitality for more than 500 student-athlete alumni and supporters.
