Juniata College Chris Cueto

Student Research and Awards

Juniata students have excellent opportunities to engage in research, both with faculty members and off campus. On-campus research courses are sponsored by the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Departments, with opportunity to present in a professional format at our annual Liberal Arts Symposium.

Summer off-campus research experiences have been made possible by alumni, including Gregory Stahl, Ph.D. ('84) at Harvard, Steven McElroy, M.D. ('95) at the University of Iowa, and Thomas Terndrup, M.D. ('77) at Ohio State University. Juniata students also have enjoy preferred acceptance to the the SMART and McNair Programs at the University of North Texas Health Science Center through our alumnus, Ronald Blanck, D.O. ('63), the past President of UNT.

The list below gives the names of Juniata students (in bold) who have co-authored papers as a result of their experiences as Harvard Summer Research Scholars.
