Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College senior middle hitter Kenny Eiser (Central Bucks West/Doylestown) earned his second EIVA Division III player of the week honors for helping Juniata to a perfect 3-0 week. It is the second time this season Eiser has been chosen as the EIVA player of the week. He also earned AVCA/Sports Imports Division III player of the week honors earlier this season. It is the third time this season that a Juniata player has received the EIVA Division III honor.

In a 3-1 victory over EIVA and Division III rival Springfield, Eiser posted a team-high 17 kills while leading the team with nine blocks. He attacked at a .394 clip in the match which helped Juniata defeat the top-ranked team in the AVCA Division III top-15 poll. He then added a team-high 11 kills while hitting .588 as Juniata swept past Lees-McRae 3-0. Eiser added a block and an ace in the win. For the week he averaged 4.9 points, four kills and 1.57 blocks per game, while hitting .460.

Eiser has been an all-around force for Juniata this season. He leads the team in hitting percentage with a mark of .482 through 10 matches. In the statistics report released Feb. 21 Eiser ranked second among all payers in NCAA Division III in hitting percentage. His 115 kills ranks him second on Juniata's squad and he is averaging 3.48 kills per game. He ranks third on the team in total blocks with 37, while also contributing 28 digs and five serve aces this season.

With Eiser playing a major role, Juniata has rolled of five consecutive wins, matching its longest winning streak from the 2003 season. The Eagles are 7-3 through 10 matches, and have not lost to a Division III opponent this season. The team is also 3-2 in the highly-competitive EIVA Tait Division, with two of their three wins coming against Division I teams.

Juniata will be in action on Wednesday night when they travel to play Tait Division opponent George Mason.
