Huntingdon, PA ? The Juniata College women?s field hockey team had four women named to the Commonwealth Conference All-Conference team.

Senior Jean Silvey (Red Lion/Airville), junior Billie Rickenbaugh (East Juniata/McAlisterville), and junior Grace McCluskey (West Perry/Elliottsburg) all received first team honors. While senior Dana Groff (Solanco/Quarryville) was awarded second team honors.

Silvey, a senior midfielder, is tied for first on the team in goals. She is also tied for second on the team in assists and is second on the team in points. She has accumulated 23 points this season by tallying nine goals this season and adding five. Silvey was selected to play in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III North-South Senior All-Star game this season. She is receiving first team honors for the second year in a row, and received second-team honors her freshman year when she was tabbed Conference Rookie Player of the Year.

Rickenbaugh led the Eagles in points tallying 24 points for the season. She had nine goals on the season, which leaves her tied for first with two fellow teammates, and leads the team with her six assists. Rickenbaugh was recognized as the conference player of the week after scoring Juniata?s lone goal in the program?s first-ever win over Lebanon Valley. She was named to the second-team All-Conference team last season.

McCluskey led the Eagles offensively in their victory over Lebanon Valley in the conference semi-finals. The two goals she had in the match boosted her season total to nine, tying her with fellow first team all-conference teammates. McCluskey had two assists this season, which brought her point total to 20.

Groff is the backbone of the Eagles defense. She leads the team in defensive saves this season with six. She also helped out the team offensively this season with three goals and three assists giving her a total of nine points on the year.

Juniata currently has a 15-7 record for the year. They defeated Lebanon Valley in the Commonwealth Conference semifinals on Wednesday.
