            HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College has named Lucy Condron, who has been associate registrar at Delaware Valley University, in Doylestown, Pa., since 2007, as registrar at Juniata effective today.

            “Lucy Condron brings a wealth of experience in using technology to improve how students and faculty interact with course systems and grading technology,” says Lauren Bowen, provost at Juniata. “Lucy has taken the lead on complex projects at Delaware Valley that made her skill set a perfect fit for Juniata.”

            As registrar at Juniata, Condron will oversee the student registration process, maintain student grades and records, ensure compliance with all laws and regulations concerning student records, oversee the college’s summer school program, edit and publish the college course catalog, as well as numerous other duties.

            “The search committee was pleased to have a very strong pool of applicants to consider, and appreciated Lucy’ s blend of demonstrated technical and management experience,” says Jerry Kruse, professor of mathematics and computer science and assistant provost.

            Condron consistently built her experience during a 15-year career at Delaware Valley. She was involved in key committees that helped Delaware Valley College transform into a university. She also led the registrar’s office effort to implement an online registration and advising system called Ellucian WebAdvisor and led a curriculum revision for all academic programs at Delaware Valley.

            Condron is a graduate of Delaware Valley University, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She went on to earn an MBA from Delaware Valley in 2012.

            She started her professional career in 2000 at Delaware Valley as a graduation coordinator and information research specialist. She was promoted to assistant registrar in 2003 and became associate registrar in 2007.

            During the 2012-2013 academic year, she served as interim registrar at Delaware Valley. She was instrumental in helping the university create unique academic programs such as the Organic Farming Certificate program and the Bullying Prevention, Diversity and Inclusion Badge.

She also played a major role in managing increased enrollment for veterans in the implementation of the Post-9/11 GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program and led the university’s team that created the Janet Manion Veteran and Military Education Center.
