Huntingdon, PA - For the second consecutive week a Juniata College women's basketball player has been named to the MAC Honor Roll. Jen Uhrich (Palmyra/Palmyra) was recognized by the conference for her play in two games this past week. Each week the MAC office names a Commonwealth Conference and Freedom Conference basketball player of the week, along with recognizing three more players with an honor roll designation.

Uhrich was Juniata's high scorer in both of the team's contests this past week. The junior forward scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a loss to Widener. The "double-double" was the fifth of the season for Uhrich. She also scored a team-high 12 points and grabbed six rebounds against Lebanon Valley. Through Feb. 4, Uhrich had scored in double figures in nine of Juniata's previous 10 games and was averaging 11.9 points and 8.8 rebounds during that 10-game stretch.

Now fully recovered from a knee injury that sidelined her for all of her freshman season, Uhrich has quadrupled her scoring average from a season ago, and has tripled her rebounding average. She has scored in double figures 12 times during this campaign, after doing it only once as a sophomore. As of Feb. 4 she was second on the team in points, rebounds and blocks.

Juniata has amassed a record of 7-11 through 18 games and are 3-5 in the Commonwealth Conference. With the 3-5 conference record, Juniata is only one game out of a conference play-off spot.
